یونیورسٹی بیس کرن شاہ کا پہلا ناول۔۔
اس تحریر کے بعد کرن شاہ کے نام سے کبھی کوئی تحریر نظر سے نہیں گزری۔۔ کیوں؟ معلوم نہیں!!
شاید وہ کسی اور نام سے لکھتی ہو؟
مگر سوال وہی!! کون جانے؟؟ (یہ ‘جنت کے پتے’ کی سطر ہے۔ میری ذہنی اختراع نہیں ہے😒😅)
ناول کی کہانی یونیورسٹی کے سات طلبہ کے ایک گروپ کے گرد گھومتی ہے۔ گروپ کے روح رواں سمعان علوی اور عدن شہزاد ہیں۔ ایسے میں انکے گروپ میں ایک نیا اضافہ ایم-اے انگلش کی اسٹوڈنٹ “عائشہ کمال” کی صورت ہوتا ہے، جو سمعان علوی کی محبت میں گرفتار ہو کر اس گروپ کا حصہ بنتی ہے۔ سمعان علوی کے لیے عائشہ کمال کے آنکھوں سے جھلکتی محبت “عدن شہزاد” کی نظروں سے مخفی نہیں رہ پاتی اور یہیں سے کہانی میں ایک نیا موڑ آتا ہے۔
ناول کا سب سے خوبصورت اور معصوم کردار “عائشہ کمال” کا ہے۔ عائشہ کا کردار حقیقت کے قریب لگا اور مجھے اسی کردار نے سب سے زیادہ متاثر کیا۔۔۔
باپ کی ناکافی محبت، خونی رشتوں کی محرومی اور ذہنی الجھنوں کا شکار وہ ایک ایسی لڑکی ہے جو محبت کی تلاش میں بنا سوچے سمجھے دوسروں کی سوچ کی تقلید کرتے ہوئے اپنی شخصیت کو مزید “بکھیرتی” اور پھر “نکھارتی” ہے۔
اس کردار پر کرن شاہ کی مکمل گرفت محسوس ہوتی ہے اور انہوں نے اس مختصر تحریر میں جس خوبصورتی اور وضاحت کے ساتھ اس کردار کے ایک ایک احساس کو لکھا ہے وہ قابل تعریف ہے۔۔۔
شستہ زبان اور پختہ اسلوب بیان کے ساتھ یونی بیس ایک مختلف اور خوبصورت کہانی ہے۔۔
اسکے اختتام پر کچھ اختلاف پایا جاتا ہے۔۔ خوشگوار اور تشنہ۔۔ فیصلہ آپ خود کر لیں۔۔۔ مجھے اختتام بیحد پسند ہے کیونکہ کسی شہزادہ شہزادی کی کہانی کی طرح اس کا انجام ” اور وہ ہنسی خوشی رہنے لگے” جیسے روایتی جملہ پر نہیں ہوتا۔۔
