معاشرے کی بے حسی پر حقیقت پسندانہ تحریریں لکھنے میں تنزیلہ ریاض کا کوئی ثانی نہیں ہے۔
فہم و فراست سے مزین، رونگٹے کھڑے کر دینے والی انکی تحریریں، ہمیں زندگی کے ان بھیانک پہلوؤں سے روشناس کرواتیں ہیں، جنکا شاید ہم نے کبھی تصور بھی نہیں کیا ہوتا۔ اپنی تحریروں کے ذریعے، وہ ہمیں زندگی کو ایک الگ انداز سے سوچنے اور سمجھنے کی توجیہہ دیتی ہے۔۔
“میں کون ہوں؟ سوال یہ نہیں ہے، میں کیوں ہوں؟ سوال یہ ہے۔”
اس مختصر ناول کی کہانی اس جملے کی عملی تفسیر بنی “تطہیر رحمان” کے گرد گھومتی ہے، وہ اپنے والد اور سوتیلی ماں کے گھر میں اپنے سوتیلے بہن بھائیوں کے ساتھ پرورش پاتی ہے۔
حقیقی والدہ حیات ہیں اور ایک کامیاب زندگی گزار رہی ہے۔ حالات کے بھنور تطہیر کو دارالامان میں پناہ لینے پہ مجبور کر دیتے ہیں۔ وہاں ایک ناقابل معافی گناہ کے الزام میں پولیس اسے گرفتار کر لیتی ہے۔۔ اس کیس کو ہینڈل کرتی ایک سماجی کارکن “مناہل مرتضی” عبوری ضمانت حاصل کرتے ہوئے اسے اپنے گھر لے آتی ہے۔۔
بےحس معاشرے میں پروان چڑھتی اور پھر زندگی کے دامن سے ہاتھ چھڑا لینے والی تطہیر کی بھی اس سب میں کہیں نہ کہیں غلطی تھی۔۔
زندگی شاید اس کے لئے اتنی بے رحم نہیں تھی، جتنی وہ خود زندگی جیسی نعمت کو زحمت سمجھتے ہوئے، اپنی تقدیر کو ناشکری اور شکوہ کی سیاہی سے سیاہ سے سیاہ تر کرتی چلی گئی تھی کہ پھر
“جبر کو صبر سے برداشت کرنے والوں کے لئے صرف قبر ہی رہ جاتی ہے۔”
ایک پرتجسس کہانی ہے۔۔۔ الفاظ میں پختگی اور کہانی پہ مصنفہ کی مکمل گرفت ہے۔۔ ناول کے چند دوسرے اہم کرداروں میں سرفہرست مسز شہلا قمر ہیں، وہ ایک این جی او چلاتی ہیں اور ایک کامیاب عورت ہیں۔ مناہل مرتضی انہی کے ساتھ کام کرتی ہے اور انکے بیٹے صفوان کی منگیتر بھی ہے۔۔۔
مختلف انجام کے ساتھ اپنا محاسبہ کر دینے پر مجبور کر دینے اور معاشرے کی ہیبت ناک شکل دکھاتا ایک منفرد اور اداس کر دینے والا مگر خوبصورت ناول ہے۔۔۔
