چار اقساط اور لگ بھگ 160 صفحات پہ مبنی دو سال قبل شعاع ڈائجسٹ میں شعائع ہونے والا مہوش افتخار کا ایک بہت خوبصورت ناول ہے۔
مہوش افتخار کے ناولز کا حسین ترین پہلو ان میں بیان کئے گئے “احساسات” ہوتے ہیں۔ پرتجسس و منفرد کہانی کے ساتھ وہ زندگی میں رونما ہونے والے ہر جذبے کو پوری گہرائی اور جزئیات کے ساتھ لکھتی ہیں پھر خواہ وہ جذبہ محبت کا ہو یا نفرت کا، ایثار و قربانی کا ہو یا پھر ازلی دشمنی کا۔۔ ہر احساس کو جس خوبصورتی سے صفحات پہ اتارتی ہیں، وہ اپنی مثال آپ ہے۔۔۔
یہی وجہ ہے کہ انکی کہانیوں میں اپنائیت کی ایک جھلک دکھائی دیتی ہے اور بحیثیت قاری، انسان اس کے سحر میں کھو سا جاتا ہے۔ مستزاد خوبصورت الفاظ کا چناؤ “کہانی” کو خاص بنانے میں معاون ثابت ہوتا ہے۔۔
“شب تاب” ناول بھی محبت اور عقیدت کے احساس میں گندھا ایک ایسا ہی ناول ہے، اس کے موضوع اور کہانی کی بات کریں تو یہ ایک لو سٹوری ہے، جس میں سپنس بھی ہے، مذہبی پہلو کو بھی نمایاں رکھا گیا ہے۔۔۔
ماضی اور حال کا سفر نامہ بھی ہے۔۔ بے اعتباری، طاقت اور حسد کی آگ میں جھلستے کچھ قریبی رشتوں کا ذکر بھی پڑھنے کو ملے گا۔۔
کہانی کا خلاصہ یہ ہے کہ سکھ مذہب سے تعلق رکھنے والے “کبیر سنگھ” نامی شخص اپنی بیوی اور بیٹے کے ساتھ ایک گاؤں میں رہائش پذیر ہے اور گاؤں کے پیر “سید نظر حسین شاہ” کے حسن سلوک سے بہت متاثر اور مرعوب ہے۔۔ یہ ماضی کی کہانی ہے جو دھیرے دھیرے اپنے انجام کو پہنچتی ہے۔۔
دوسری طرف حال کا ذکر ہے۔۔ یہ پیر صاحب کی ستائیس سالہ بیٹی “زرناب شاہ” کی کہانی ہے۔ وہ ناول کی ہیروئین (ایک سلجھا ہوا معصوم و باوقار کردار) ہے۔ چند برس قبل پیر صاحب کی بڑی بہو اپنے مذموم مفادات کی خاطر زرناب شاہ کا نام کبیر سنگھ کے بیٹے “مصطفی” کے ساتھ جوڑ دیتی ہے۔ اس واقعہ کے بعد کبیر سنگھ کو گاؤں بدر کر دیا جاتا ہے۔ یہ بات پورے علاقے میں پھیل چکی ہے اور بہت برس گزر جانے کے بعد بھی یہ الزام “زرناب شاہ” کی شادی میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ بنا ہوا ہے۔۔۔۔
ناول کا مرکزی کردار اور ہیرو “سیف علی جنگ” ہے جو شعبہ پولیس سے وابستہ ہے اور اسی گاؤں میں بطور اے ایس پی تعینات ہوا ہے۔۔ ایک دبنگ اور اصول پسند طبعیت کا مالک ہے، جو اپنے جذبوں کا اظہار کرنا بخوبی جانتا ہے۔۔زرناب شاہ کے مفاد پرست بھائیوں اور عیاش کزن ہاشم کے مقابل سیف علی جنگ کا کردار جس مضبوطی سے پیش کیا گیا ہے، وہ قابل تحسین ہے۔
سیف کے دلکش انداز، دوٹوک، ذومعنی و جاندار مکالمے بےاختیار دل لبھاتے ہیں۔۔
خوشگوار انجام کے ساتھ ماہرانہ انداز میں لکھی ایک بیحد خوبصورت، منفرد اور پر تجسس کہانی ہے۔۔
